By Katie Onson

The popularity of designer clothes is difficult to deny, as I'm sure the likes of Estelle's can attest. After all, these clothes are regarded as fashionable, meaning that those who wear them tend to have a good understanding of style. However, there are certain things that you must know before putting forth this investment. Here are just a few of the pros & cons of designer clothes that you'd be wise to remember.

PRO - Designer clothes simply look nice. When shopping for clothing, the first thing that you'll be focused on is how it appears. Fortunately, companies like Estelle's Dressy Dresses will tell you that designer clothes tend to be cosmetically pleasing. Not unlike elegant sweet 16 dresses, designer brands pride themselves on being eye-catching. Needless to say, this is what draws people in at the onset.

CON - Designer clothing will cost you. Despite the cosmetic differences that designer clothes have to offer, the fact that they can be rather costly cannot be overlooked. In fact, this is the main reason why a lot of people tend to avoid designer brands. They probably don't have the means to continually invest in such clothing. Before you decide to look into this possible investment, understand just how much you're willing to put forth.

PRO - There are different styles of designer clothes. It's also worth noting that designer clothing comes in various styles. Chic is undeniably trendy, but does this necessarily mean that it's the only one to be seen? You might also find the likes of punk and urban, depending on where you shop. The truth remains that if you want to invest in designer clothes, you're not going to be short on options to choose from.

CON - Designer brands might be difficult to keep track of. As the fashion industry grows, so will the different types of designer brands out there. What this means is that clothing will become more diverse, which can make the idea of keeping up with brands somewhat daunting. This is especially true if you have a specific style in mind and don't want to deviate from it. If you're going to invest in designer clothing, understand that some learning will be done along the way.
