World's second most visited country checks over 3,500 travelers from Italy amid border crackdown

Spanish authorities have checked the documents of more than 3,500 passengers arriving on 310 flights from Italy at major airports since temporary border controls were introduced on Aug. 8, according to the Interior Ministry data.
